About The Position

Production Planner Huntsman is seeking a Production Planner supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in McIntosh, AL. This position will report to the Site Supply Chain Manager. Job Scope The production planner maintains production schedules to optimize inventory levels that meet customer requirements and minimize inventory carrying costs, in accordance with plans generated through the IBP Demand/Supply Planning processes. This role works closely with operations management to ensure adherence to plan and coordinate changes as needed, balancing demand requirements with production capabilities. In summary, as the Production Planner, you will: Maintain production schedules to optimize inventory levels that meet customer requirements and minimize inventory carrying costs. Work closely with operations management to ensure adherence to plan and coordinate changes as needed. Balance demand requirements with production capabilities. Perform material planning and forecasting. Manage inventory at the batch level. Provide production and cross-functional support. Maintain master data in SAP and support launch of new products. Respond to changes in the plan in a timely manner with the ability to quantify the impact of these changes to key stakeholders. Own and report on key KPIs, including OTIF, DIO, SLOB, etc. Provide input to IBP process in developing inventory strategies on existing and new products. Support internal and external audits, including SOX audits.

Requirements

  • BS in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field is preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent proactive communicator.
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management.
  • SAP / ERP software process knowledge.
  • Knowledge in SIOP and IBP processes.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Entry level experience in supply chain (preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus).
  • Knowledge in SAP or related ERP planning system.
  • APICS Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI and BI Launch Pad is a plus.
