About The Position

The Production Planner is responsible for creating and managing production schedules for pressed juice and probiotic soda manufacturing. This role ensures that all products are produced efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time. The planner will coordinate with procurement, operations, and quality teams to balance demand, raw material availability, and production capacity while minimizing waste and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM This is an on-site role. Candidates must reside within one hour of Oceanside, CA 92056, and be available to work on-site 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Food Science, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in production planning within food & beverage manufacturing.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning software.
  • Experience with perishable inventory management and short shelf-life products.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Familiarity with fermentation processes and cold-chain logistics.
  • Ability to follow precise directions and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for juice and probiotic soda lines.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate seasonal ingredient availability, equipment downtime, and urgent customer orders.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with HACCP, FDA, and other food safety standards.
  • Track production performance and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies; recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems and provide regular reporting on production status and capacity utilization.
  • Support new product launches by integrating trial runs into production schedules.
  • Work closely with logistics to align production output with shipping schedules and customer delivery timelines.
