About The Position

Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a Production Planner. The expected annual salary range for this role is $59000 - $86000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: This position Exhibits capability in planning practices for production and ensures customer orders are completed on time and efficiently. Manages and identifies areas for improvement in the following areas: planning/shop floor scheduling, shortage resolution, expedites, customer requests, manufacturing efficiency, and capacity management. Assist in the attainment of the master production schedule through effective communication and problem solving with the multi-functional entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of manufacturing and SAP experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Previous working experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes as well as special processes.
  • Full knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all planning material master data in SAP, including lot sizes, safety stocks, material replenishments types, lead times in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Responsible for the planning and procurement of all material components required to complete the job. Must ensure that sufficient material is available to support production, while not procuring excessive inventory that will be prone to obsolescence.
  • Work directly with vendors on scheduling of outside processing.
  • Attends production meetings to ensure that the production plan and customer requests are fulfilled.
  • Manage inventory to achieve monthly plant financial targets and satisfy customer demand.
  • Assign delivery dates based on customer requirements and process time, available capacities, and availability of raw material.
  • Print drawings and create job packets from SAP output for use by the floor as required. Ensure job packets are handled and released to the floor according to standard and policy.
  • Review MO closure reports to keep accurate records.
  • Serves as member of the salaried team and provides support as necessary to achieve local, division, and corporate initiatives and objectives.
  • Assist in annual physical inventory and cycle counting processes and activities. Evaluate results of physical inventories and update all records and schedules affected.
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
