Production Planner
About The Position
Activities and Responsibilities Cycle count inventory and maintain an accurate inventory count for your product type all year long. Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity. Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements. Manages inventory levels, notify management of inventory issues, work with other departments well. Answers order termination or cancellation requests from sales. Reviews work in process material on production floor. Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report. (MRP) Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues. Performs purchasing duties on "outside process materials" including order placement, expediting, coordinating receipt of material in production sequencing, and act as liaison with quality and engineering departments. Maintains/updates manufacturing system/MRP system for assigned product types.
