As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including: Order Management: Receive orders from sales offices and customers, ensuring accuracy, and setting delivery dates based on material availability, customer requirements, and production schedules. Production Planning: Establish production plans and priorities in line with customer demands; creating daily work schedules for hourly personnel to optimize production efficiency. Shipping and Logistics: Identify the best prices and services from carriers, coordinate customer shipments, determine efficient routes, and expedite deliveries as needed to meet customer requirements. You will also plan daily loading schedules and prepare loading combinations for shipping finished products. Inventory Management: Place orders for raw material and miscellaneous inventory items, securing the best possible pricing while adhering to specifications. Prepare bill of materials from prints/drawings to fulfill complete projects. Maintain material inventory levels within predefined objectives, removing shipped material from records, and maintain inventory records. Communication and Coordination: Coordinate interplant transfers of materials and keep sales and plant personnel informed about material availability, production, shipping schedules, and all relevant information. Manage order changes in production scheduling and shipping and resolve daily issues related to these changes. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare material and product certificates, coordinate inspections, and oversee material sampling as required by various representative agencies.
