Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Global Shop Solutions, Microsoft Dynamics) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, shipping/receiving procedures, and production workflows.
Experience working with defense industry requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and DFARS compliance.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting demands.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments including Production, Sales, Quality, and Procurement..
Experience with preparing shipping documentation, coordinating freight/logistics, and maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records.
Ability to read blueprints required.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time completion of customer orders using ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions).
Coordinate the release, dispatch, and tracking of production work orders; follow up on urgent jobs and reschedules.
Collaborate with supervisors, sales, and engineering teams to align schedules, address change notices (ECNs), and resolve delivery or production issues.
Monitor inventory levels, requisition parts, and expedite materials between departments to support workflow and shipping timelines.
Prioritize items for inspection and ensure alignment with shipping deadlines.
Schedule shipments with freight, air, and ground carriers; prepare and verify documentation for defense compliance (e.g., ITAR, EAR).
Support cycle counts, physical inventory, and generate performance or logistics reports as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support planning, logistics, and production control operations.
