Requirements

  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Have a strong understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and be familiar with and able to manage in a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment using software systems, such as SAP
  • Must be able to communicate professionally, across multiple departments and plants.
  • Per 8-hour shift.
  • Sit 6 hours and stand 2 hours.
  • Both typical and non-typical office environment (Low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations.)
  • Infrequently lift 41-50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift 31-40 pounds.
  • Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard.
  • Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs.
  • Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
  • Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided.
  • Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A two-year associate degree in Supply Chain and/or a business-related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and distribution of capacity planning reports.
  • Identify production capacity and capability for assigned production units.
  • Support Production Managers in all phases of capacity planning and scheduling of assigned production units.
  • Manage subcontract processes that are not within a NBO unit.
  • Oversee automated workflow scheduling process.
  • Analyze exception reporting coming from the automated workflow scheduling process and resolve the exception issues with purchasing and shop floor supervision.
  • Release orders and paperwork for situations in which the automated workflow-scheduling system does not release them.
  • Monitor and expedite the progress of subcontract operations and material being processed on the outside.
  • Confer with shop floor supervision and answer questions to resolve workflow schedule problems.
  • Manage your responsible item data and order method.
  • Manage and plan the capacity of assigned production areas.
  • Initiate and plan the sub-contracting of capacity as required to support loads.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, production management and purchasing to select the sources and the proper parts for outside sourcing.
  • Capacity plans must account for schedule changes, preventive maintenance requirements and appropriate protective capacity.
  • Support production management in the planning of labor resources required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
