About The Position

The Scheduler / Production Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations in a food production environment. This role balances customer demand, inventory levels, production capacity, and food safety requirements to support on-time delivery, cost control, and compliance with quality standards.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of production planning or scheduling experience in food or beverage manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and constraints
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to align schedules with capacity, labor, and material availability
  • Plan production runs while considering allergen controls, changeovers, sanitation requirements, and shelf-life constraints
  • Monitor raw material and packaging inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock
  • Adjust schedules in response to demand changes, equipment downtime, labor issues, or supply disruptions
