About The Position

The Production Planning- Scheduler oversees developing a master schedule in consultation with management, ensuring all materials are stocked, and overseeing the workflow of the production facility to achieve short- and long-term production goals. Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Type: Full-time (Occasional Overtime Required) Hours: 40-45 hrs Schedule: M-F Reports to: KEY Divisional Controller

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Demand & Inventory Needs
  • Release Daily Stock Needs
  • Release Daily MTO Needs
  • Order Expediting
  • Backorders scheduled according to current demand and production plan
  • Provide value to internal and external customers
  • Create and pursue self-development plan
  • Apply Lean Thinking to teamwork and processes (waste, flow, level work, etc.)
  • Schedule production and shipping of all customer orders with appropriate teams
  • Understanding and application of production capabilities and processes so production meets demand.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Sales to verify that all materials needed to produce the customer orders are available.
  • Communicate regularly with various teams about the current production schedule and lead times.
  • Monitor the execution of the production and shipping plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion.
  • Analyze back, current, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule production operations.
  • Identify stagnant workorders and investigate the deletion or processing of the workorder.
  • Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.
  • Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences to ensure schedules support the current production plan.
  • Support and help in other areas as the manufacturing schedule dictates.
  • Kanban management and stock replenishment.
  • Other duties as needed: Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time and may include potential transfers to other departments and local facilities.
