About The Position

The Production Planning- Scheduler oversees developing a master schedule in consultation with management, ensuring all materials are stocked, and overseeing the workflow of the production facility to achieve short- and long-term production goals. Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Type: Full-time (Occasional Overtime Required) Hours: 40-45 hrs Schedule: M-F Reports to: KEY Divisional Controller

Responsibilities

Analyze Demand & Inventory Needs
Release Daily Stock Needs
Release Daily MTO Needs
Order Expediting
Backorders scheduled according to current demand and production plan
Provide value to internal and external customers
Create and pursue self-development plan
Apply Lean Thinking to teamwork and processes (waste, flow, level work, etc.)
Schedule production and shipping of all customer orders with appropriate teams
Understanding and application of production capabilities and processes so production meets demand.
Work with Supply Chain and Sales to verify that all materials needed to produce the customer orders are available.
Communicate regularly with various teams about the current production schedule and lead times.
Monitor the execution of the production and shipping plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion.
Analyze back, current, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule production operations.
Identify stagnant workorders and investigate the deletion or processing of the workorder.
Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.
Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences to ensure schedules support the current production plan.
Support and help in other areas as the manufacturing schedule dictates.
Kanban management and stock replenishment.
