About The Position

We are currently seeking a Specialist, Production Scheduler (Liaison) to join our team in Culpeper, Virginia. You will be a part of our Scheduling and Material Planning team which networks across all departments and plays a key role from proposal to product delivery. We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated, and organized individual. A successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in MRP/ERP (SAP, Oracle). A good understanding loading a Master Production Schedule that supports contractual/sales/program needs. Is able to determine bottlenecks, constraints, and resource issues through the use of ERP and other capacity analysis tools. Is familiar with BOM structure in a production and new product introduction environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Production Planning/Scheduling experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Oracle/Delmia/Windchill experience.
• Willingness to learn Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as Delmia, ASCP, Oracle Enterprise Business Suite, etc.
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skill, as well as the ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel expected.
• ERP/MRP Experience Oracle is preferred but experience with any major MRP system is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules or Microsoft Project
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach to process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manages and provides dispatch reports to operations areas (Manufacturing, Quality, and Assembly floor).
• Performs comprehensive schedule assessments and identifies schedule risk at the operation level.
• Responsible for MRP output for their respective programs.
• Works with Operations Managers or Supervisors on work orders that are past due and adjusts them accordingly.
• Works with Production Scheduling, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure the ERP system is in alignment with production build plans.
• Partners with Planning, Operations, and scheduling to ensure the Master Production Schedule reflects what is in the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Understands key metric outputs and can articulate discrepancies and drive gaps to closure.
• Works to achieve operational targets with moderate impact on departmental results. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives of the project.
