About The Position

Job Summary Applies fundamental knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices to perform detailed scheduling of manufacturing work in progress, shop loading and physical control of in-process inventories to expedite work flow and coordinate changes in schedules.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree.
  • If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • 2-4 year(s) Related experience.
  • Communicates effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms.
  • Makes telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and makes formal presentations to small or large groups.
  • Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and operates standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required.
  • Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

Responsibilities

  • Resolves problems of limited scope and complexity in reference to policies and procedures to expedite work flow and coordinate changes in schedules following established policies and procedures. Work is accomplished under close supervision and completed work is reviewed for results.
  • Responsible in the process of planning, preparing, issuing and controlling production schedules and coordinators with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials times to meet production requirements.
  • Confers with management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems. Works to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Responsible to schedule equipment and personnel; confirming material supply and demand issues.
  • Prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, purchasing, engineering, traffic, inventory control and any other department as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.
