About The Position

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. Summary This role manages and coordinates inventory management practices for all aspects of portfolio. Directly responsible for working with established Inventory Optimization tools to set strategic inventory targets, aligning inventory output of monthly Pack Plan activities, providing inventory metrics reporting, and facilitating key meetings in support of our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. This role also manages a team of Inventory Planners that are responsible for reviewing and guiding tactical execution to ensure service while minimizing inventory needs. The Production Plan & Analysis Manager will develop procedures to meet overall service and inventory targets as set forth by Global Food Leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
• 5+ years related experience and/or training
• Must understand and have experience with plant capacities, demand planning and inventory control.
• Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in Sales and Operations Planning.
• Interaction and communication skills are paramount within this position.
• This individual must work extremely well with multiple functional areas to achieve the required end results without direct authority.
• Technical querying skills required for successful reporting and analysis.

• APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage Inventory Optimization tool, arranging inputs and outputs with key stakeholders, improving utilization throughout supply planning systems, and driving continuous improvement efforts.
• Partner with key stakeholders (Production Planning Managers, Master Planning Analysts, Demand Planning, Deployment, Procurement) for strategic and tactical alignment.
• Work closely with IT and Supply Analytics for ongoing maintenance and improvement efforts.
• Provide support and inputs to key IBP meetings.
• Facilitate and coordinate monthly HEAD (Held, Excess, Aged, and Damaged) Meeting.
• Assist Non-Operating Inventory Efforts by reporting and tracking initiatives and action steps.
• Leads and supervises Inventory Planners, coordinating work and initiatives to meet service targets while holding to inventory objectives.
