J&J is seeking a Production Parts Planner who is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and releasing work orders to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication between the office and the shop floor. The role acts as a liaison between engineering and production to make sure all required information, materials, and approvals are in place before work begins.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree with work experience in a field with a similar job description.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, logistics, or data entry is desired.
Responsibilities
- Create, review, and release work orders to the shop with all required details, parts, and labor instructions.
- Verify accuracy of job information, including customer requests and equipment details.
- Ensure parts, materials, and labor resources are available prior to releasing work.
- Coordinate with technicians, parts, and operations to schedule and prioritize jobs efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of work orders, revisions, and job status in the Company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Update work orders with notes, time entries, and parts usage during and after job completion.
- Close out completed work orders with accurate labor hours and cost details.
- Support continuous improvement of the work order release and tracking process.
