Production Packaging Operator (Day, Swing and Night shifts available) - CONTRACT
About The Position
This is a contract position currently slated through April- Compensation is $20.50 per hour Details you want to know Shift: Monday-Friday (with required overtime on weekends depending on business needs) 1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm (Mondays often start earlier to help with production startup) 2nd Shift: 2pm -10:30pm(Shift differential available) 3rd Shift: 10pm-6:30am (Shift differential available) Experience that will help you succeed Individuals who are eager to grow , demonstrate reliability , and perform their duties effectively will find success in this role. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred but not always required).
- Experience with packaging machinery or equipment is a plus.
- Ability to operate packaging machines (knowledge of machine setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting).
- Understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for packaging processes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects (typically 30-50 lbs) as required by the role.
- Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong focus on quality control to ensure that packaging meets standards and specifications.
- Ability to inspect finished product and make adjustments when necessary.
- Effective communication skills to work with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to collaborate with others to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment malfunctions or production issues.
- Ability to report issues promptly and help find solutions.
- Open to training on different machines and processes.
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
