The Production Operator in Chillicothe, Missouri will work in a fast-paced manufacturing team environment focused on providing quality products for our customers. You will be challenged daily to meet our goals and thrive in a continuous improvement environment. This role is on site and on second shift, 3:30pm to 2:00am, Monday through Thursday. Requirements

  • Education consisting of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Six months experience in manufacturing or production/warehousing environment.
  • Vocational training(certification) in building trades, automotive, or welding can be substituted for manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds routinely and stand/assemble product at workstations for extended periods of time.

  • Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance and available/willing to work on off (non-traditional hours) shifts.
  • No more than two unexcused absences during 90-day probation.
  • Experience and or certification operating a forklift/powered lifts.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate metal and or media-based parts at workstations to create small to medium sized assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools/machines, equipment with blueprints and route sheets.
  • Paint and or assemble/package units too customer requirements/specifications and rework materials/assemblies when necessary.
  • Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
  • Lifting, moving, and standing at workstations.
  • Operate multiple types of machinery to process materials/assemblies through facility.
  • Inspect parts using quality inspection tools such as calipers, height gages, etc.
  • Complete first piece inspections and non-conformance reports.
  • Evaluate and calibrate parts in accordance with acceptance test procedures.
  • Understand and follow work instructions and routings.
  • Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT, Donaldson Safety Framework and environmental policies/laws/rules and company codes of conduct/procedures.
  • Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned in order to fulfill Donaldson’s mission, vision, and strategic plan objectives.
