About The Position

General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned. Under limited supervision, this position will: Follow all of the Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, procedures, and requirements, ensuring personal safety, safety of others, and safety of the surrounding area. Lead, support, and monitor Production Operators with the completion of their assignments, production optimization, maintenance, and ensure activities performed are consistent with procedures, policies, and safety regulations governing oil and gas production. Review and prioritize all work orders to plan and organize activities with the Production team. Assist with ensuring that all new hires go through Short Service Employee (SSE) program training. Monitor daily oil and gas production in assigned area, identify areas not operating correctly, troubleshoot complex production related issues, discuss and resolve outstanding maintenance issues with the team and management. Perform general regulatory and visual inspections such as check equipment, facility, leaks, condition, gauge pressures, safety devices, etc. Provide updates and make suggestions to the Production Supervisor on all pertinent information including shift activity, performance, and training needs. Work together with the Flowback Supervisor to provide assistance and discuss status on jobs, equipment, scheduling, target flow rates, and potential issues to achieve desired production targets. Assist and partner with Safety and Engineering to create an effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six (6) years of Production experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Apply understanding of surface and/or subsurface equipment and operations & practices.
  • Complete competency in the collection, interpretation, and reporting of well data & identify areas of concern.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of drilling & completions.
  • Ability to lead and mentor others to create a positive work environment and accomplish team goals.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate performance of others in their assigned work.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
