About The Position

The Production Team Lead is responsible for achieving production and quality requirements within a defined time-frame, from preparation to filling, while remaining compliant with hygiene, HACCP and work safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment
  • Must be proficient in the use of equipment such as flow meters, scales, steam lines, chart recorders, agitators, pumps, valves, and batch tanks
  • Must be able to read and understand PI sheets
  • Must be able to read and follow a production schedule

Responsibilities

  • Organize the set-up (structure, plants), procedure and team for the shift.
  • Manage and monitor production, while adhering to time, cost and quality specifications (taking into account optimum capacity utilization during disruptions).
  • Operates production machines by means of automatic/manual controls, and adjusts production equipment to product-specific parameters according to the daily production plan and the observance of time parameters.
  • Initiates and controls repairs, maintenance and modifications of machines in close coordination with the supervisor and maintenance department.
  • Takes samples and conducts quality controls, forwarding the results to Quality as needed.
  • Fills finished products into appropriate packaging.

  • Records all data as required (i.e. charts, necessary process adjustments based on data findings, etc.).
  • Performs CIP/COP and general sanitation as needed.
  • Implements the internal and legal specifications and guidelines concerning hygiene, HACCP, food and work safety and environmental protection.
  • Informs Supervisor and Manager on issues or immediate needs that may impact the department.
  • Adheres to GMPs within appropriate zones.
  • Interacts with and inputs data into SAP.
  • Performs general sanitation duties.
  • Assists in other areas of production as needed.
  • Interacts with and follows instructions provided on PI sheet.
