About The Position

Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following: · Safe and effective operation and minor adjustments of all packaging equipment. · Proper handling, packaging, labeling, coding and marking of product. · Accurate and timely sampling of materials and communication to lab. · Accurate and timely documentation of your production day. · Safe, healthy and clean work environment. · Report all accidents or near misses to Lead/Supervisor. · Willing to support other production lines and assist Spray Operators. · Regular on time attendance. · Proper and timely communication of equipment performance to Operators/Leads. · Effective evaluation of the quality of all packaging raw materials consumed in the operation. Report any defects you encounter to Lead/Supervisor. · All product change overs are completed in an efficient and timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and with a group in accordance with the company safety & sanitation standards.
  • Basic computer skills: Access, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day.
  • Moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders)

  • Follow written and verbal instructions and work independently or as part of a team as necessary.
