The Production Operator I is responsible for the transferring, bulk loading, and packaging of finished products. This role requires understanding and adherence to all personnel and equipment safety policies, as well as GMP, HACCP, Sanitation, and Business Unit policies and procedures. The operator must understand written customer specifications to mill flour accordingly and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all transferring equipment and systems. Key duties include sampling and analyzing milled flour using lab instruments, operating and maintaining sifters, and measuring levels in storage bins. The position also involves significant sanitation efforts, communication with various teams (scheduler, elevator, blender, quality, maintenance, packer) regarding workflow and equipment, and monitoring supplies. The operator is responsible for visual inspections of the FPZ transfer sifter, setting up and monitoring finished package weights, and ensuring proper bagging, sealing, and palletizing. Additional tasks include performing metal detector checks, pulling samples for quality control, managing bag inventory, labeling, cleaning packing areas, reworking non-conforming products, and assisting in training new personnel.
