About The Position

Operates all equipment within the department according to SOP, including ROG mold presses, LWB mold presses, cutters, skives, notches, insertion machine, bender, saws, drills, riveter, and glass robot. Rotates regularly through all operations after receiving proper training. Uses a variety of gauges and measuring devices to accurately measure and inspect in-process and finished parts. Performs finishing operation at finish table including final inspection, measuring, cleaning, trimming, auditing, and packing the part. Perform SPC in operations where necessary. Includes graphing samples, and calculating required information as directed in SOP. Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems. Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through designated channels. Verifies the implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory activities, including internal quality audits. Overtime may be required. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • May be required to operate PC and associated software.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • If required to operate a forklift they must have a Fork Truck Operators License.
  • Must actively support our Health Safety and Environmental policy, immediately report all Safety hazards and correct them when able to safely do so, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspects, and use all required PPE. The required PPE safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves/heat-resistant and steel-toed shoes.
