About The Position

The Production Operator 1 contributes to the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and processes to manufacture and package industrial, medical, and specialty gases, ensuring product quality and a shared commitment to safety regulations. We are looking for you to operate and monitor various production equipment including compressors, pumps, distillation columns, and filling systems. Support cylinder filling and labeling according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Conduct routine quality control checks on finished products, including pressure and leak testing. Monitor process parameters and make adjustments as needed to support consistent production. Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions, sharing complex issues with maintenance or supervision for collaborative support. Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation. Demonstrate a commitment to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE. Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a supportive and safe working environment. Support general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished products. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy cylinders (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe preferred.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand tools.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
