Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery. Requirements
- Ability to read shop floor papers and operate machinery.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift materials (up to 50 lbs.)
- Attention to detail
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate, work well with a team, and report issues to supervision.
Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: set up, operate, and shut down manufacturing machinery, including extruders or computer-controlled tools.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and keep the work area clean.
- Monitoring & Efficiency: monitor production processes to optimize performance, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Reporting & Documentation: record data regarding materials used and products produced, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Safety Compliance: adhere to all safety protocols and health regulations to prevent hazards.
