Pratt & Whitney AutoAir is the Raytheon Technologies composite manufacturing center of excellence for aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Maintenance, Repair Operations (MRO) products, and is a sourced supplier on several new engine programs with noteworthy growth in the coming years. This position is for 2nd shift. Hours are Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 months experience in manufacturing environment or completed A&P certification.
  • 3 months experience with body work and painting, machine metal and hand tools or with composite materials, including fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar
  • 3 months experience in welding and electronics

Responsibilities

  • Cutting, sizing, and measuring state of the art composite materials in accordance with process sheet instructions.
  • Disassembly and assembly of aircraft components.
  • Manipulating state of the art materials by stretching and heating to secure material to form molds.
  • Performing composite and metal fabrication as well as finishing work within extremely tight tolerances to achieve required quality requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical data.
  • Must be able to work any shift, including first, second, third, and/or weekends.
  • Possess basic computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
