About The Position

A Production Supervisor in a manufacturing site plays a critical role in driving safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. By leading employees on the floor, they ensure adherence to safety standards, maintain production flow across several processes, and quickly address issues that impact output or quality. They also develop and coach their team, reinforcing accountability and continuous improvement while coordinating with planning and quality teams to meet customer demands. Overall, their leadership directly influences productivity, workforce performance, and operational consistency. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Six (6) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • One (1) combined year of supervisory and/or leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or leading Continuous Improvement projects
  • Good people skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated administrative and computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a safe working environment through formal inspections/audits, correcting unsafe behaviors, safety / crew meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment
  • Incident investigation, problem solving and root cause analysis (EHS and quality).
  • Ensure employees receive training as specified
  • Plans and coordinates priorities, allocates work assignments, and regulates production process in order to meet specific daily production requirements
  • Monitors production rates, yields, and quality of products on a daily basis and provides feedback to employees and supervisor on results
  • Provides effective communication to employees through daily interaction, electronic mail, etc.
  • Provide direct supervision and development to production and/or hourly employees
  • Organizes and reviews changeovers with appropriate staff to minimize downtime.
  • Addresses production issues such as scheduling, quality, run time, etc.
  • Lead/participate in Kaizen continuous improvement sessions, make process suggestions to improve quality and reduce costs, involved with managing tier 1, 2 processes
  • Involved with Lean Management systems deployment, implements cost reduction programs to ensure the efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment
