About The Position

Southern Roofing and Renovations is hiring a strategic leader to oversee our field operations and make sure we're completing the best work possible for our clients. When you join our Tupelo, MS team, you'll make $80,000 - $85,000/year (based on experience) and receive: Medical Dental Vision 401(k) with company match (after 60 days) 10 days of accrued PTO 10 paid holidays annually HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT: Our Production Manager works Monday through Friday with some weekends or evenings as needed. You'll be in charge of our production team, supervising their work to ensure they do an excellent job in alignment with our quality standards and company expectations. You'll coordinate the vital aspects of the projects to ensure we finish jobs on time and within budget. Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to): Production Oversight: managing your team's daily activities, monitoring timelines/budgets, and coordinating with internal departments (project managers, sales reps, procurement teams, etc.) to support efficient, timely, and cost-effective project completion. This includes strategically allocating project materials, labor, and resources. Team Leadership: leading your team (technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors) in meeting performance goals and completing high-quality work. You'll set productivity targets, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide training to help every person improve and hit their goals. Quality Control: working with the quality control manager to inspect project sites, check work quality, and implement corrective actions as needed to improve project outcomes. Process Optimization: seeking out areas for improvement and opportunities for enhancing productivity, efficiency, and quality. You'll execute lean production principles to minimize waste and streamline workflows. Safety Compliance: promoting a safety-oriented culture, quickly addressing risks and hazards, and performing safety audits to ensure all team members comply with health and safety regulations. Stakeholder Collaboration: working with procurement, sales, and operational teams to ensure consistent communication and coordination. You'll build relationships with clients and ensure they're satisfied with our work. You'll provide project updates, track performance metrics, and notify management of any issues. Documentation: completing and maintaining accurate records of production performance, progress, resource utilization, labor hours, project costs, and more. You'll analyze production data, identify trends, and use this information to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of production or operations management experience, preferably within the construction or restoration industries
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering projects on time/within budget
  • Working knowledge of production processes, scheduling, and resource management
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strategic problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
