About The Position

Big Grove’s brewing Production Manager is responsible for the planning and coordination of the entire brewing process. From ensuring quality, efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Key responsibilities include creating production schedules, managing production staff and budgets, maintaining inventory of raw materials and the finished product. This role uses communication and collaboration with departments like sales and quality control to develop new recipes and meet market standards. To perform this role they must manage staff, schedule beer production runs, and make sure that the brewery’s equipment is working correctly. The brewing production manager will work closely with the executive team and Director of Brewing to ensure that the brewing process remains consistent and that beer production goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the brewing, cellaring and packaging process to ensure high-quality, consistent beer is produced.
  • Develop and execute daily production schedules, managing team schedules and production workflow to meet demand and deadlines.
  • Lead, train and manage the production team, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment while holding staff accountable for policy and procedure.
  • Maintain and improve quality assurance and control processes, monitoring raw ingredients, samples and finished products to ensure they meet standards.
  • Oversee inventory of raw materials, brewing supplies and finished beer ensuring sufficient stock for production and sales while maintaining freshness.
  • Continually improve production processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness and quality enhancement
  • Collaborate with the Director of Brewing and Head Brewers to formulate new beer recipes, considering budget constraints and current market trends
  • Ensure the brewery is a safe place to work and they play a role in enforcing safety standards on the production line.
  • Ensure that all machinery is correctly maintained and sanitized after use and the facility is kept clean and organized.
