About The Position

Oversee and organize the equipment, direct team/staff, and processes on a production floor related to direct team. Oversee routine production activities as well as acting as the first line of support for troubleshooting should problems arise. Supervise and lead a team of manufacturing employees to meet the objectives set by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1- 5 years of experience in leading people, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic production environment.
  • Ability to influence others to accomplish work tasks and achieve results.
  • Analytical mindset for process optimization.
  • Effective communication, conflict resolution, and objective judgement are critical to success in this role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to meet the build plan daily.
  • Lead Tier 1 meeting and resolve issues or escalate to Tier 2.
  • Attend Tier 2 daily.
  • Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Continuously seek areas for improvement and to lead kaizens.
  • Cell replenishment, and cell bin sizing (with strider).
  • Inventory signaling, material put away, kanban box execution, identify potential shortages and other items owned by striders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, and logistics) to optimize daily production.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and resolve operational issues related to your direct team.
  • Monitor workflow efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
  • Address any quality-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to keep machinery functional.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain product standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and perform any required safety reporting.
  • Uphold 5S standards and lead 5S projects.
  • Temp management including opening roles, working with temp agencies.
  • Manage resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
  • Responsible for cross training and the training process.
  • Lead and motivate production staff, including operators and technicians.
  • Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and address performance issues.
  • Organize training opportunities to enhance team skills.
  • Manage and direct factory team members including operators, team leads, and repair technicians across multiple shifts.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective performance.
