About The Position

The Production Manager ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase an organization’s efficiency. Their duties include building production schedules, making sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines and reviewing the productivity of an organization’s manufacturing equipment for all 3 areas (CNC, Preproduction, Final assembly). Production Manager 3rd Shift / Night Shift Your main responsibilities will be: Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff. Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free. Communicating regularly with management regarding problems or issues impacting production. Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime. Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations. Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team. Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality. Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff. Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime. Be responsible for and report on key performance indicators of on time delivery, production efficiency and inventory turnover. Implement and control the production schedule, adjust as needed to ensure on time delivery. Responsible for driving continuous improvement regarding costs, quality, delivery, cycle time and asset management through Lean practices. Become familiar with ISO 9001 quality program. Must ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as published and communicated by ZIEH-ABEGG as well as direct reports. Fosters culture of teamwork which values employee engagement and open communication within the facility and the business as a whole. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership or managerial experience in a production / manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with MS Office suite
  • MRP/ERP knowledge and experience preferred
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Adaptability & stress tolerance
  • Experience in lean manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills
