About The Position

Atlas Roofing Web Technologies is seeking a Production Manager for Franklin, OH. This role is responsible for supporting goals related to reliability and improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance KPIs such as waste reduction, unplanned downtime, process capability, and schedule adherence. The manager will create and sustain manufacturing and management processes through effective performance management and process efficiency evaluation. Key duties include maintaining documentation, tracking, and taking corrective action for product performance issues, as well as managing inventory control for all production-related products and raw materials. The position also involves supporting equipment and plant maintenance scheduling, ensuring customer orders are delivered within specifications, and maintaining product quality as a top priority. The Production Manager will ensure direct reports investigate and troubleshoot all Quality related returns and customer complaints, taking appropriate action to prevent reoccurrence. They will lead in the development and maintenance of production operational manuals, investigate internal and external failures, and operate with a strong sense of urgency regarding daily production fundamentals including safety, quality, and efficiency. Collaboration with Union leadership to support operational and employee relations goals is essential, as is working with the Plant Manager on process improvements, new concept development, and equipment additions or replacements. The role requires 10-15% travel to other Atlas facilities, vendors/suppliers, or for training.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Five years manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in the fields of production, maintenance, safety.
  • Display a strong application of technical proficiency with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Display a strong aptitude for data analytics.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
  • Must be a self-motivated, detail oriented, problem solver.

Nice To Haves

  • Web handling experiences preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical business degree preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support goals related to reliability and improvements to the manufacturing processes in support of improved KPIs (e.g., waste, unplanned downtime, process capability, schedule adherence).
  • Create and sustain manufacturing and management processes through effective performance management and process efficiency evaluation.
  • Maintain documentation, track, and take corrective action when product performance issues occur.
  • Maintain inventory control and tracking of all production related products and raw materials.
  • Support priorities for equipment and plant maintenance downs for scheduling.
  • Support goals and objectives designed to ensure that customer orders are delivered within specifications and as scheduled.
  • Ensure that the process and products comply with all Quality specifications, regulations, and standards.
  • Maintain product quality as a top priority and department deliverable.
  • Ensure direct reports investigate and troubleshoot all Quality related returns (internal and external) and customer complaints; takes appropriate action to fix and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Lead in the development and maintenance of production operational manuals.
  • Investigate internal and external failures, in conjunction with other key personnel, and make necessary adjustments or take appropriate action to correct.
  • Operate with an intense sense of urgency around daily execution of production fundamentals including safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Union leadership to support operational and employee relations goals.
  • Work with the Plant Manager to monitor production processes, process improvements, new concept development, and new equipment additions or replacements.
  • 10-15% travel to other Atlas’ facilities, vendors/supplies, training, etc.
