Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of progressive management experience in food manufacturing or repackaging
  • Associate’s degree in Food Technology or related field (operations management experience highly valued).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and facility inventory systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and process improvement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams, with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Respectful, approachable, and community-driven with a positive attitude; committed to maintaining safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Able to perform moderate physical activity (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, reaching, standing/walking for extended periods) in varied manufacturing environments including noisy, humid, or hot/cold conditions, near moving machinery, and with occasional chemical exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a 24/7, three-shift frozen repackaging operation, ensuring safe, efficient production and on-time customer deliveries.
  • Manage and develop shift supervisors and production teams, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and improve key metrics including OEE, labor efficiency, downtime, throughput, and product quality.
  • Partner with maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and reduce production downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, safety regulations, and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing and process improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
