Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing plant supervision.
  • A pattern of initiative and leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision making, and project management skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food manufacturing leadership experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to salaried and hourly direct reports in the day-to-day operations of the Day Grocery Products operation.
  • Provides all direct reports adequate training on all functions of their respective area including Quality Control program, sanitation procedures, safety training, and proper production procedures.
  • Promotes safety in the department ensuring compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Is responsible for assuring the departments achieve standard yield objectives while meeting all quality specifications.
  • Ensures Team Leaders make decisions that allow them to achieve labor efficiency and utilization objectives.
  • Ensures supply waste usage is within standard range for this department and ensures that sanitation and housekeeping objectives are met.
  • Achieves objectives regarding records, reports, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Drive and deliver strategic cost management projects for all salaried team members under their supervision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
