About The Position

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands from $500MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and M&A. We are seeking a Production Line Leader at our Caramel Factory, Sanders Candy. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will be based in Clinton Township, MI.     This person will not only embody to the mission and goals set forth my Second Nature Brands, but they will do so by guiding and influencing production teams in achieving daily goals while ensuring safety of all team members. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in starting their leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.   Shift Time: 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 P.M. Starting Rate: $20

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous management or leadership experience with the ability to instruct, motivate, and guide team members
  • Proficient in inventory tracking systems and able to navigate computer based production or ERP software (SAP experience a plus)
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and keep up with production demands
  • Strong team oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively
  • Commitment to following all safety regulations and ensuring compliance on the production floor

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple production lines to ensure they meet safety, quality, and productivity, expectations.
  • Identify potential production issues quickly and coordinate with supervisory leadership to ensure timely and complete resolution.
  • Handle inventory-related tasks and maintain accurate physical and electronic inventory records within the ERP system (SAP).
  • Provide daily leadership to the team by leading huddles, assigning tasks, onboarding new associates, and offering ongoing coaching.
  • Support the development of team members and assist in training new line leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA, GMPs, FDA guidelines, SQF expectations, and proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control team each day to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Complete equipment setup and shutdown procedures following established guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.
