Production Line Leader
About The Position
We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands from $500MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and M&A. We are seeking a Production Line Leader at our Caramel Factory, Sanders Candy. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will be based in Clinton Township, MI. This person will not only embody to the mission and goals set forth my Second Nature Brands, but they will do so by guiding and influencing production teams in achieving daily goals while ensuring safety of all team members. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in starting their leadership experience in a manufacturing setting. Shift Time: 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 P.M. Starting Rate: $17.94
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Must have management experience and ability to instruct, motivate and guide team members
- Must be team-oriented/focused
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep up with production lines
- Ensures safety regulations are followed
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversees multiple production lines to meet metrics for safety/quality/productivity/cost guidelines
- Strong understanding of overall safety rules--OSHA, GMPs, FDA guidelines, SQF expectations, and proper cleaning and sanitation of machinery.
- Trains new associates to garner proper production procedure from inception while consistently offering on the job personal improvement training to tenured associates
- Coordinates daily with quality control team to produce the best product at all times
- Quickly identifies possible production issues and works with other supervisory leadership to escalate issues to their complete resolution
- Manages packaging inventory to ensure all personnel have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
- Maintains information within internal ERP portal
- Other duties as required
