About The Position

The Production Lift Operator 1 role brings all required materials to the line and properly packages, labels, and stages all finished products so that it is ready for shipment.  This position ensures internal quality standards are met for pallets before being shipped to the customer.  Role also serves as a vital supply chain for our production staff by bringing all the raw materials to the production line to ensure the production staff can perform their roles.   This role must be knowledgeable in and follow all procedures needed to ensure the proper, safe, and efficient operations of a forklift.  Position works under established guidelines.

Requirements

  • One and a half years relevant forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency and safety and passing Paragon Films internal certification process.
  • Thoroughly trained and proficient at performing Line Operator duties within Paragon Films.
  • Technical aptitude to understand machinery and systems within a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain an understanding of software, scanning functions, data entry, and other basic computer tasks.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment while adapting to a fast-paced environment and rapid changes.  Able to juggle multiple tasks and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with good problem-solving skills.
  • Practice and promote teamwork within our organization.
  • Internal customer service skills.
  • High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality.
  • Understanding and ability to communicate using the English language in both written and spoken form.
  • Basic mathematic skills.
  • Ability to use hands including fingers to hold, touch, see, feel, grip, squeeze, push, pull.
  • Ability to perform pushing, pulling, and forward exertion on a regular basis.
  • Ability to have an overhead extension with arms on a regular basis.
  • Ability to use enhanced levels of manual dexterity with arms and hands.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously on the concrete floor for 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, stoop, bend, and squat frequently.
  • Ability to kneel occasionally.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders occasionally.
  • Ability to twist at the hip and waist area on a regular basis.
  • Ability to rotate the neck to look backward, up, down, and sideways on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms.
  • Ability to climb on uneven surfaces occasionally.
  • Ability to regularly lift and or move between 45-55 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 65 lbs.
  • Ability to understand and communicate verbally, in person, and over a paging system.
  • Ability to meet requirements of and utilize all PPE when required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Supplies lines with raw materials making sure all materials for the production line are continuously stocked and available to prevent any production delays.
  • Wraps and stages skids of the finished product to be moved to the warehouse for storage while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Understands and can weigh and complete scrap reports and turn them into the Team Manager.
  • Understands proper packaging, how to wrap and read labels, and proper applicable uses.
  • Labels and wraps unused raw materials before placing them back into inventory.
  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks throughout the shift in the assigned area.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned by management; including but not limited to filling the roles of Line Operator when staffing needs require it.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned by management.
