About The Position

A Lettershop Lead Associate for JSM will be responsible for performing and overseeing all the necessary tasks to have a successful shift by facilitating optimum production output and fostering company policies and procedures. An individual in this role will be required to work as part of a team to uphold operational standards, identify developmental needs of others and implement solutions, cultivate constructive & supportive relationships.

Requirements

  • Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience as a Working Lead Associate
  • Able to manage operators in a fast-paced environment
  • Highest degree of personal integrity.
  • Reliability and dependability.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt easily in rapidly growing operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Production and Processing —raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing efficiency.
  • Mechanical Knowledge - print machines and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the resources, knowledge, feedback and work environment for team members to excel.
  • Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments. Give starting turnover to next shift supervisor/lead/manager. Communicate by the log book and face to face. Establish working relationships with other departments.
  • Advise supervisors and management on status of and changes to workforce. Contact Supervisor and/or Manager and/or Human Resources in the event of concerns from or with associates.
  • Staffing machines and running per the priorities
  • Driving productivity
  • Making sure that materials and job instructions are at the machine and pulling materials for the next job
  • Responding to red lights and working with technicians to resolve issues
  • Responding to green lights to ensure Material Handlers are bringing materials to machines in a timely manner
  • Responding to yellow lights to answer questions, concerns about quality issues, and to cover restroom breaks
  • Responding to all lights to ensure Material Handlers are taking finished pallets away
  • Ensuring that quality control procedures are being followed and production goals are met
  • Helping to resolve material issues and providing reports on bad materials
  • Helping to ensure the work environment is safe, and report unsafe issues to management
  • Supporting the Supervisor by communicating and performing tasks that are requested
  • Leading the shift on Saturday overtime days
  • Locating and pull RTM’s for Client Services
  • Making sure all machines have job instructions, tray tags, and pallet flags
  • Printing tray tags and pallet flags as needed, as well as job instructions
  • Ensuring that machines are stocked and all is in order for the next shift
  • Ensuring that new employees are welcomed and feel comfortable on the job
  • Promoting company values and culture
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
