About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Production Lead - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour. The core hours are 6:00am - 3:00pm. What you’ll do: The team lead provides manufacturing expertise, support, and direction within the assigned area. This role partners with the supervisor and VSM to coordinate, facilitate, and motivate team activities to meet or exceed High 5 objectives across safety, quality, delivery, cost, lean, and efficiency. Team leads model Eaton leadership behaviors by setting clear expectations and consistently demonstrating strong safety practices, ethical conduct, operational discipline, urgency, quality focus, standard work, 5S, product knowledge, effective communication, and professional presence. In this function you will: • Be the owner of accurate, up to date area Tier 1 boards and scheduling tools; Responsible for effective Tier 1 meetings • Collaborate with line other leads, Production Line Control (PLC), and line Supervisor to flex labor as needed • Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and PLC to identify and resolve production interrupters • Communicate Manufacturing Change Notices (MCNs) and ensure all posted area documentation is current and accurate. • Responsible for effective QC process in area, and application on DMR and NCR process. • Participate in line level CI initiatives (such as 5S and kaizen events) and facilitate problem solving with your team. • Utilize Leader Standard Work (LSW) to manage daily activities and priorities

Requirements

  • High School diploma from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel for data and metric reporting
  • Working understanding of Gantt Charts and Production Scheduling processes
  • Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, schematics, bills of material, and change notices
  • Working understanding of KANBAN and inventory allocation systems
  • Working understanding of quality control systems and reports
  • Able to communicate clearly and give direction to team
  • Able to address and resolve problems with minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop team and positively influence team morale
