About The Position

The Production Lead employee is responsible for following proper procedures and specifications while being the lead in a production area such as Packaging and Wrapping. This position has limited supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or (GED) is required.
1-3 Years related experience and/or training preferred
Must have ability to do basic math for counting pallets, packages and rows of cookies
Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines

Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands for repetitive tasks for extended periods
Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required for maintenance tasks

Ability to work around moving mechanical parts and in varying environmental conditions

Responsibilities

May be asked to work in any area of the assembly line to assist in production of baked goods as needed
May be asked to work on different lines and/or workstations depending on staffing and production needs, per supervisor discretion.
Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure that production processes are carried out in accordance with established safety and quality standards
Train and mentor production staff in the use of equipment and processes
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
Accept and adapt easily to change
