About The Position

Perform duties around the plant which include but are not limited to: keeping plant equipment clean and operating properly, ensuring safe operations during shift, and coordinating with kiln supervisor on any maintenance issues.

Requirements

• Skills: Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required
• Experience: Two years of experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
• Abilities: Able to lift up to 75 Able to climb stairs/ladders and walk extensively throughout plant. Able to wear respirator protection. Able to work around moving mechanical parts. Able to work from heights, in high levels of noise, and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures in accordance with MSHA and MLC standards
• Perform general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies, and equipment
• Perform work requiring rough/heavy labor such as moving, lifting, and piling materials
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area. This includes general cleanup throughout the production area such as sweeping, shoveling, and other duties
• Consistent in working towards meeting production goals as directed by the kiln supervisor
• Wear proper PPE at all required times
• Driving and operating mobile equipment
• Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed
