About The Position

The Production Inventory Coordinator supports night-shift operations across inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehouse material flow, production and yard coordination. This role helps maintain inventory accuracy, support material flow, identify process gaps, and ensure warehouse discipline during off-shift hours. The position requires independence, attention to detail, and strong communication across teams and shifts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate a forklift and Yard Dog for the purpose of moving trailers.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify material that is pulled, staged, stored, or labeled outside standard process and escalate recurring issues.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities based on operational needs.
  • Help coordinate inbound and outbound material flow, including trailer positioning and communication of yard/trailer issues.
  • Build LTL pallets and print shipping labels when needed to support outbound shipments.
  • Verify pallets are built correctly, labeled accurately, and staged in the proper locations.
  • Ensure material handling dispatches are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness throughout the shift.
  • Identify safety hazards, poor staging or labeling practices, and other process concerns.
  • Serve as a second-shift point of contact for warehouse and yard-related issues.
  • Communicate shift handoff notes to day shift regarding inventory concerns, trailer status, and process deviations.
