Veranova currently has a number of positions open for our 2025 Internship Program. Veranova’s Internship Program will allow you to partake in meaningful roles that will prepare you for your future. Veranova is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients, focused on specialist niches with expertise in highly regulated and complex chemistries. Operating within two divisions, Generics and Originators, we deliver a differentiated service offering to pharma and biotech customers for every stage in the drug development lifecycle. The Production team at the Veranova West Deptford site is responsible for ensuring the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) is done with proper safety, quality, and efficient timing, ensuring all documents are prepared and accurate in advance, proper equipment is ready to be used, and proper personnel are trained. Production works alongside multiple departments including Maintenance, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, and Facilities Engineering to complete investigations, continuous improvement projects, and troubleshooting equipment. As an intern, the qualified candidate will work with a mixture of Production Manager, Production Coordinators, and Production Supervisors to update production work instructions, process standard work plans, assist and/or complete a continuous improvement project, and work closely with the production personnel to gain any possible efficiency. Our program consists of a 10–12-week internship at our West Deptford, NJ location.
Requirements
- Working towards a BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
- Must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
- Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Responsibilities
- Work closely with production leadership to execute one or two specific projects which they will own from start to finish.
- Complete a 5S project.
- Spend time learning how a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation works from raw materials through final product packaged.
- Carry out any other duties which are within the intern’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
