As a Production Industrial Engineer, you will drive improvements across manufacturing operations by analyzing data, optimizing processes, and leading initiatives that enhance production efficiency, throughput, and cost performance. Requirements

  • Industrial Engineering experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience analyzing production data to identify issues and implement process improvements
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Value Stream Mapping, process mapping)
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, capacity analysis, and throughput optimization
  • Experience working cross-functionally within manufacturing or operations teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience planning, launching, and ramping up new production lines or manufacturing programs
  • Leadership experience, including developing teams, driving performance, and resolving conflicts
  • Experience using production analytics and simulation tools (e.g., SAP, Apriso, VECAMS, Tableau, Simio)
  • Ability to develop and execute production ramp plans that increase rate while maintaining quality and efficiency
  • Strong communication skills, including building and delivering presentations to senior leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with new program introduction (NPI) or production launch processes
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS), including S-Curves, SPI, and CPI analysis
  • Active Secret security clearance is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, root causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and Industrial Engineering methods
  • Develop and apply discrete event simulation or similar modeling techniques to evaluate production scenarios and optimize system performance
  • Support production planning activities including capacity analysis, scheduling, and production rate optimization
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering to support production line design, layout, and workflow optimization
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and throughput
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across production, engineering, supply chain, and program teams
  • Drive sustainable process improvements and ensure long-term adoption of solutions
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers as needed
  • Provide occasional off-shift support to maintain production continuity
