About The Position

The Production Wage Relief Foreman serves as a first-level supervisor to production employees and provides direct support to Production Supervisors in coordinating daily operations. This role ensures that production runs smoothly and safely, all necessary materials and documentation are available, and that employees are effectively guided to meet production priorities and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Supervising: 3 years (Required)
  • Ability to Commute: McKeesport, PA 15132 (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct morning meetings in coordination with the Production Manager or Supervisor to review daily plans and priorities.
  • Distribute supplies and materials throughout the day as needed to support ongoing production.
  • Ensure all employees have the necessary tools, materials, and information to correctly complete assigned jobs.
  • Communicate with the storeroom to confirm availability of all required components for current and upcoming work.
  • Issue stamping papers and other production documentation as needed.
  • Keep production teams focused on high-priority jobs and ensure timely progress on critical tasks.
  • Assign and coordinate mill orders for plugging, assembly, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Monitor welding operations daily, ensuring correct procedures are followed for each job.
  • Enforce all company policies, union agreements, and safety rules.
  • Anticipate and plan for production needs throughout the week to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with all Standard Job Procedures (SJP's) and safety requirements.
  • Attend weekly production priority meetings and contribute updates and feedback.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication across departments and teams-success begins with effective communication.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities or customer requirements.
  • Assist in completing corrective action items as needed to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and hands-on assistance in all areas when required, including temporarily filling in for absent team members or supervisors.
