The Equipment/Facility Maintenance Manager oversees the repair, calibration, and total preventive maintenance (TPM) of all manufacturing equipment and leads the maintenance technician team, ensuring minimal to zero downtime of machinery, and will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing floor’s needs, as well as assisting in future capital equipment purchases. Perform all required duties to keep the facility in peak operating condition as well as preserve and improve the cleanliness. Ensures the facility provides a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors. Facility Management Oversee daily operations of buildings, grounds, and physical infrastructure. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and improvement opportunities. Manage facility repairs, renovations, and upgrades, coordinating with contractors and vendors. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Maintain facility-related documentation, including permits, warranties, and service records. Equipment Management Oversee inventory, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all equipment and tools. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements. Ensure equipment is used safely and properly by staff, providing training when needed. Track equipment performance, costs, and utilization to support budgeting and planning. Operational & Administrative Duties Manage facility and equipment budgets, including forecasting and cost control. Negotiate contracts with service providers, vendors, and suppliers. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and asset inventories. Develop and enforce facility and equipment policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Respond to facility-related emergencies and coordinate corrective actions Leadership & Collaboration Supervise maintenance staff, custodial teams, or external contractors. Collaborate with department leaders to understand operational needs and support organizational goals. Lead safety initiatives, including emergency preparedness and compliance training. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding facility status, project updates, and maintenance plans Other Duties & Responsibilities: Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Serve as the primary point of contact for all maintenance needs on the manufacturing floor, including tool and equipment requests. Work closely with production teams to ensure all tools and equipment are maintained, functional, and available as needed to meet production targets.
