About The Position

The San Antonio Production Engineering Team is looking for a Production Engineering Manager to lead a team of Production Engineers during the heavy aircraft modification located in San Antonio, TX. This position will lead the Build Manufacturing Engineering team as they define and further mature the build plan - integrating commodity deliverables into an executable product. This position will be responsible to manage the daily activities of an engineering team as they develop zonal build plans, integrate design changes, and advise shipside teams on how to most effectively execute the engineering requirements. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing a team.
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering position dealing with large scale aerospace products.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • EVM Material Review Board (MRB) experience/certification.
  • Engineering degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • Active Secret/Top Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
