Crescent Energy is seeking a Production Engineering Analyst to support our Production Engineering and Production Operations teams. This role will focus on production data analysis, performance monitoring, and reporting to help drive production optimization and operational efficiency. The Production Analyst will work closely with Production Engineers to provide data-driven insights that support day-to-day operations and longer-term planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present data and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical), Analytics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting oil and gas production operations or engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with production engineering concepts such as well performance analysis, artificial lift, and production forecasting.
  • Experience with production data systems, ERP platforms, or database tools (SQL a plus).
  • Coding experience (e.g. Python, SQL, VBA, or similar) to automate workflows, analyze large datasets, or enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Production Engineers and field operations to support production optimization and operational performance.
  • Analyze production data and develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support production planning and forecasting efforts through historical data analysis and performance tracking.
  • Monitor and report key production KPIs, including base production, downtime, well performance, and operational efficiency metrics.
  • Assist Production Engineers with data support for workovers, maintenance activities, and operational evaluations.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production summaries for engineering and leadership teams.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives by providing timely, accurate data insights.
