The Temp- Production Designer, Visual Merchandising & Print will partner with the regional Visual Merchandising Manager and Design Director to execute in-store visuals and print projects. This role would report into the Design Director, North America. It requires a background in graphic design with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite graphic applications. The ideal candidate is execution oriented and is accustomed to working with external print production vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years proven graphic design or print production experience at corporate level, preferably in high-end retail cosmetics
  • Graphic production experience in Packaging or Visual Merchandising
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain process systems and documentation
  • Knowledge of common industry printing processes and substrates for in-store collateral
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to proof physical color match prints

Responsibilities

  • Create print-ready artwork mechanicals according to brand guidelines for in-store product merchandisers, fixtures, lightboxes, marketing animationsand print projects.
  • Manage mechanical production process including but not limited to: tracking timelines provided by creative and print vendors, production of artwork mechanicals, routing proofs for final approval and final file release to vendor
  • Partner closely with Visual Merchandising Manager and Design team on a regular basis
  • Follow established brand style guidelines when working with image assets and brand typography
  • Manage a large volume of projects in a fast-paced environment, with the guidance of the Design Director + Visual Merchandising Manager
  • Review revisions and comments for multiple projects simultaneously via an online proofing system
  • Make changes to digital files based on proofing comments with a high level of accuracy
  • Review both digital and printed proofs of projects with a keen eye for detail
  • Prepare, package and release print-ready digital files according to vendor specifications
  • Archive packaged digital files upon completion of projects for future retrieval
