About The Position

The production deboning worker prepares meat products for packaging and sale. Typical job responsibilities may include carcass processing, grinding meats to create various products, slicing meat cuts for further processing, transporting carcasses to chillers and freezers, packaging meat for sale, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. The work environment is steady, repetitive in motion, and fast-paced. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 TO WORK AT TRIUMPH FOODS. Triumph Foods only employs individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Attendance is very important, be on time and ready to work.
  • Stand on hard surface for 8 to 12 hours
  • Light Production: Lift 10 lbs. - 20 lbs. repetitively; Repetitively pushing or pulling 10 lbs.- 20 lbs.; Light/Medium Power Grip (Holding Knife/Whizard Knife)
  • Medium Production: Lift 25 lbs. - 50 lbs. repetitively; Repetitively pushing or pulling of 25 lbs. - 50 lbs.; Strong Power Grip (Holding Knife/Whizard Knife)
  • Heavy Production: Lift 55 lbs.- 100 lbs. repetitively; Repetitively pushing or pulling 55 lbs. – 85 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or general equivalent degree is preferred but not required.
  • Know how to follow directions and work well with others in close proximity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks that require manual material handling and using hand tools, knives, machinery, and equipment during processing, packaging, and shipping pork products.
  • Physically demanding and repetitive work that can require using some or all body parts and muscle groups.
  • Cut carcasses for further processing.
  • Separate meat and by-products.
  • Clean, trim, slice, section, and weigh raw materials.
  • Inspect meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes and remove them along with any excess fat.
  • Monitor machines and equipment and adjust when necessary.
  • Check products to ensure they are up to USDA standards.
  • Package cut product through a packaging machine.
  • Box product based on order requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
  • Ability to be at work regularly and on time.
  • Perform all additional duties a supervisor requests on an “as needed” basis.
