About The Position

The Knife Room Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment within the Knife Room. Primary duties include sharpening straight knives, Whizard knives, Grasselli blades, Marel blades, and all Ground Beef Grinder, and V-Meg. This role also includes sharpening gang blades from Vertical Ross, and Ross gang assemblies. Additional responsibilities include retrieving necessary supplies from the Supply Room and ensuring the Knife Room and its machines are cleaned at regularly scheduled intervals to maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of staff
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform duties efficiently
Strong people skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and equipment guidelines
Basic computer skills needed, it is required for data entry and training materials
Internal disqualifiers are the following: 6 attendance points Any suspension on record for the last 12 months

Nice To Haves

Prior Knife Room Operator experience is beneficial but not mandatory
