About The Position

Setting up and striking events held at the Scheman Building, Hilton Coliseum, and other Athletics Department operated locations. Tasks may include: setting and striking tables, chairs, podiums, AV equipment, food & beverage stations, dance floors, and other equipment. This is a part-time hourly position that works on an as needed basis and includes many morning, night, and weekend shifts. The work schedule is put out week to week with employees signing up for shifts that fit their schedule. A shift is usually anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. This is a manual labor position.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Follow room diagrams to correctly complete room sets.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Understand and respond to clients’ needs for their event.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Capable of performing tasks which are physically labor intensive, able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Capable of following instructions and demonstrates the ability to work well with others.
