The Production Coordinator role involves overseeing and coordinating production processes to ensure timely product delivery and compliance with safety, quality, and operational performance standards. This position is ideal for detail-oriented, proactive individuals capable of managing complex production schedules and collaborating across departments.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with production workflows, Microsoft 365 software, and manufacturing processes is essential.
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities are critical for coordinating teams and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Experience speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, production/assembly, or a related role is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of lean principles.
  • Proven working experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Provides on-the-floor training, coaching, and guidance to production employees in alignment with supervisor direction.
  • Supports the supervisor by identifying skill gaps, reinforcing standard work, and escalating performance or safety concerns as needed.
  • Organizing daily production activities and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines and reduce waste.
  • Provides updates to management on a regular basis.
  • Promotes adherence to safety standards, company policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors the shop floor for compliance and escalate concerns or violations to the supervisor or management for action.
  • Monitor production processes to maintain product quality, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with company/industry standards.
  • Collaborating with quality assurance team members to ensure finished products meet defined specifications and standards.
  • Analyzing production data, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending workflow improvements to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and recommending process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Liaising with departments such as materials, maintenance, logistics, sales, and quality assurance to align production goals are met.
  • Coordinating with maintenance and repair teams to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimize downtime.
  • May be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned to meet production goals.
